Plastic-vs-Paper
I think I heard somewhere that it takes more energy to produce paper than it does to produce plastic. I could be wrong (for once in my life wink ). Just my two cents.

Um... Where is the video?
I am on a desktop, tried firefox and chrome... Tried openSUSE with Firefox, then Chromium, and even fired up windows XP+IE8 - still no video present. They all looked the same (kudos for that) but there isn't a box indicating a missing plugin or error, there just isn't any signs of the video itself. I can provide screenshots.

That is fine how-do-you-do. I came to see what Sumi Das was up to now-a-days. Guess I'll go check youtube.

>> Hello, everyone, and welcome to Sumi's Smart Picks. I'm Sumi Das, and each week I'll tell you about one clever product that in some way helps us live cleaner, greener lives. My pick this week? Seventh Generation's Natural 4X Laundry Detergent. But it's not about the detergent. It's about the packaging. This is a paper bottle: Recycled paper -- newspaper -- and cardboard, to be exact. It has a plastic liner inside, to hold the detergent. I love this idea. I think it's ingenious, and kudos to the people at Seventh Generation. When you're done using the detergent, you put these two halves into the paper recycling. Let's see if I can crack them apart here. You could also compost them. And then this liner goes into the plastic recyclables. Now, I do have one teeny, tiny gripe with the way that they've marketed the product. If you look at the tag, it says, "This laundry bottle uses 66% less plastic." You can't miss that 66. Right? The type is huge. But read the fine print. "Than a typical 100-ounce laundry bottle." This is a 100-ounce bottle. But this is a 50-ounce bottle. How does it get away with comparing this to this? Well, they say that this bottle should do as many loads of laundry as the bigger bottle. So we'll give them a pass on that, just because they earn so many cool points with this paper bottle. So that's my pick for this week: Seventh Generation's Natural 4X Laundry Detergent. Check back next week for more.
