Which Smart Planet editors own stock in 3-d printer development cos.?
Will you guys please quit with the constant PR for 3-d printing. Not only are they scientifically and economically naive and unrealistic in expectation content, but they are becoming increasingly less fact and more PR based.

Remember Spaceships of Ezekiel?
The Kuka Youbot reminds me a lot of the "wheel of wheels" invented/patented by the author of the 70's book Spaceships of Ezekiel. The author wondered what you would end up with if you took the Book of Ezekiel literally, taking into account that, if the things Ezekiel was looking at were outside of his frame of reference, how he might describe a flying machine. One of the results was a wheel rimmed with cylinders so that it could 'steer' without changing the angle of the wheel itself. Looks like that's what we have here, 40 years later. Maybe it's that same guy's patent? Has anybody else seen that book?
