Cleantech

Cleantech, short for "clean technology," is a term used to describe products or services that improve operational performance, productivity, or efficiency while reducing costs, energy consumption and carbon emissions. It is also referred to as "green tech." The term refers specifically to consumer, regulatory and industry interest in clean forms of energy generation as it relates to climate change, environmental impact and venture capital interest in related startup companies.
