Augmented reality, or AR, is a view of the physical, real-world environment augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound or graphics. It stands in opposition to virtual reality, which replaces the real world with a simulated one.
Surround vision does what it suggests - surrounds you with video in an "augmented reality." For what it does, the technology is fairly simple and uses a cell phone you may already be carrying.
