We know that this isn't a hybrid so it isn't a fair comparison, but we love the fast pick-up of the Saab BioPower as compared to other top green cars like hybrids. Another benefit is the engine's ability to handle E85 bioethanol or petrol, or any mix of the two. Of course it would only benefit from the increased availability and ethical manufacture of biofuels.

Maybe one day we'll all be driven around in automated cars that run on a thimbleful of water and emit nothing more than the scent of a fresh summer meadow, but for now, this ideal remains the stuff of science fiction.
