'Organic' design; spacious boot; near-Prius fuel economy

Tight back seat; local pollution from diesel

This very fuel efficient small car from Citroen is a welcome step in the right direction toward green driving progress -- and without the trickery of hybrids or electric cars. The diesel engine gives you good bang for your buck, and the curvy, ergonomic design means it's a looker too. And the best surprise is discovering the boot.
