What it is
An electric car with sexier styling than its nemesis, the G-Wiz

What you need to know: Nice Mega City

Tags: electric car
We like:
That the design beats the G-Wiz; the huge boot space; zero emissions
We don't like:
That it's £3K more than rival G-Wiz; that it's slower than the G-Wiz; its limited rear-mirror view
SmartPlanet judgement:
There are only two fully-electric cars that money can buy in the UK, and this is the one that's most similar to driving a normal petrol car. The interior's decent, the styling's conformist yet attractive, the boot space is massive and the driving experience is easy. But if you're after a nippier and far cheaper drive, we'd recommend you check out Goingreen's eccentric G-Wiz.

NICE stands for No Internal Combustion Engine, which a quick look under the bonnet confirms. Continue reading...

We're psyched about how cheap this energy-efficient car is, and suitably impressed by the solid handling
Lexus RX 400h
If you must drive an SUV, make it this one -- at least it's fun to drive and comparatively economical on fuel
FUJI Track 2007
This road bicycle by US bike maker FUJI comes with an aluminium stem, drop-down handlebars and racing-style saddle
Smart Ed
Brilliant, no compromises proof that 100 per cent electric cars can compete with petrol cars
Pedalite KPL200
A bright idea for city cyclists, but try simple reflective arm and leg bands first
