If you switch off at the plug you won't care about this Bravia LCD TV's low power consumption on standby, but you will baulk at the high power usage when it's on. Although the superior picture quality almost makes up for it, we just can't shake the fact that it consumes so much and that Sony didn't tell us anything about its manufacturing.

Let's start with the good news. The Sony Bravia KDL-32V2000 TV uses only 0.3 watts when left on standby, which is excellent -- other TVs in the 32-inch category can use up to six watts when doing nothing.
