What you need to know: Rhino Powerplus Wind-up Radio

We like:
The price; the no-nonsense controls; long-lasting battery life
We don't like:
The lumpy design; half-hearted attempt to make it 'tough'
SmartPlanet judgement:
Finally, a good quality wind-up radio for less than £30. Okay, it won't set the fashion or techno worlds on fire but it'll still pump out AM and FM radio all day long at the spin of the hand-crank. Sadly it isn't as rugged as it looks, and the cute carry handle is more handbag than handy, but you can't fault this too much because it's a great value eco gadget that'll never need batteries.
