We would dine at Konstam every day if we lived in the area and could afford it. The atmosphere is as homely as the big rustic portions and the staff (including the chef) are engaging and know exactly where every single ingredient comes from. The only thing that could possibly make Konstam better in our eyes is a little more transparency on the organic and Fairtrade side of things. |
Straw Bale Cottage is better-than-basic accommodation, using fresh interior design and impressive eco credentials from start to finish. We love that every detail has been considered and made to be green somehow, and that the construction is sustainable and innovative. We're blown away, no pun intended. |
If you want genuine eco credibility without sacrificing style, Trelowarren's cottages make for a fantastic holiday. The green vision is brilliantly thought through, from the super-insulated homes and biomass heating to the locally sourcing restaurant and organic walled garden. It may be tricky to travel to, but it's worth the effort. |
This is possibly the best pub in the world for a green fan. It serves up a fantastic variety of organic drinks, there's a green or ethical thought behind everything from making sure the candles are made from organic palm oil to having the space be on a green energy tariff. The food as pub grub would be really good too, but as restaurant food our starter and dessert didn't quite cut the mustard. We'll go back anytime, though. |
