We like:

The Fairtrade chocolate in the room; it's centrally location in Edinburgh; the friendliness of the staff

We don't like:

All the rooms are pretty much the same; the breakfast lacked a bit of imagination

If you're looking for a bit of luxury in central Edinburgh, the Radisson SAS Hotel is a formidable choice. It's also the flagship green hotel in the chain, kicking off the Rezidor Group's efforts at doing its bit for the environment. We loved the welcome platter of Fairtrade fruit and chocolate and the big spacious room overlooking the city.

With over 322 hotels under the Rezidor Group umbrella, greening the operations of this hotel chain was always going to be a huge undertaking. But the powers that be decided it had to start somewhere, and it started here at the formidable Radisson SAS Hotel in central Edinburgh. And it was by no means the easiest one to begin with.
