RedVeg is an ordinary-looking, small takeaway in Soho that produces basic takeaway food -- burgers, hotdogs, felafel, fries -- except it's all vegetarian.
If you're looking for a poncy aduki bean and beetroot patty on toasted ciabatta, RedVeg ain't the place, but if you just want a regular burger in a nice, soft bun that you can squash down with your fingers and bite on -- but without the meat -- give it a go. There are several burger options, eg with cheese, chilli, mushroom, smoked -- but sadly, nothing with blue cheese. I don't think the food is especially healthy -- the bread is white and the fries are, well, fried -- but it's a lot more affordable than the designer burgers down the road in Hamburger Union.
RedVeg is a small business, with one branch in London and one in Brighton, so you're not supporting a sinister global megacorporation. There are a few seats at the front of the shop, or you can walk up the street to Soho Square and sit in the park.
