You'll either love or hate the adventurous decor, but at least the food at this Brighton seaside hotel is spot on. With stringent environmental standards, the Paskins Town House combines ethics and cosy style beautifully.

Travelling solo usually means a big room to bounce around in. But at the Paskins Town House in Brighton, we felt a bit like Harry Potter squeezing into his cupboard under the stairs. Yes, our room was shoebox-size, but it had plenty of character all the same. The hotel's decor is art nouveau -- an art form deriving from the late 19th century and heavily influenced by nature and natural form. Continue reading...
