'Yes' Water-based Organic Lubricant and Moisturiser Review

'Yes' Water-based Organic Lubricant and Moisturiser
Typical price:
£5.50
We like:
The one-handed squeezy tube; it's not tested on animals; the organic certification from the Soil Association
We don't like:
It doesn't last as long as oil-based lubricants (but 'Yes' makes one of those too); the minty green tube looks a little clinical
SmartPlanet judgement:
As the only certified organic and natural range of sexy products in the world, 'Yes' is leading the way in eco-friendly sex products. The company says no to many ingredients found in other lubes that can cause skin irritation, especially for those with sensitive skin. 'Yes' is all about going green and uses recycled and recyclable materials for all of its products.

Review:

'Yes' has coined the term 'luberation', which, according to the company's mission statement, is "the liberation experienced by using Yes(TM) lubricants". The range of intimacy enhancing lubricants mean the eco-minded no longer have to compromise on their choice of lube. And that means no more suffering the humiliation at the check-out when paying for an embarrassingly labelled ('Slide and Ride', perhaps?), phallic-shaped bottle of lube.

Cool and sexy Yes lubes have no scent, taste or colour, meaning they just do their job without hindering your pleasure or masking your own skin, scent and senses. Another bonus point is earned for the subtle one-handed squeezy bottle, meaning you can keep one hand in the action while reaching for the lube. Now, that's considerate.

The water-based lube is so pure you can use it as a moisturiser as well as a sexual lubricant, which means it's perfect for that sensual massage to get you in the mood. It certainly left our skin softer than usual and helped make that sexy rubdown a real delight. If you want sustained slippery fun then opt for the oil-based lube, but just remember it's not compatible with a condom, while the water-based one is.

On the eco front, Yes really does come out on top. The products are certified as organic by the Soil Association, which is important since so many companies are bandying about terms like 'organic' and 'natural' willy-nilly (no pun intended). The Soil Association has strict standards that must be met before it puts its stamp on a product -- all of the production, processing, distribution and sales of a product are monitored to maintain the organic integrity so Yes is doing a good and green job from start to finish.

Yes has a real aim to minimise the environmental impact of its products, so it uses as little packaging as possible, and of that, as much recycled materials as is legally allowed, what with hygiene standards and all. And all packaging is recyclable, so it's just up to you to close the loop.
