What you need to know: Dulux Ecosure Paint
We like:
Substantial (25 per cent) carbon reductions; applies very easily and looks great; it's tough
We don't like:
It contains VOCs; no detail on labour conditions for its production; lack of info on what it's made from
SmartPlanet judgement:
As with many multinationals struggling to think environmentally, Dulux's carbon-conscious Ecosure paint needs to go a lot further. In this case by reducing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and using more eco-sensitive ingredients. But it's a very impressive paint to use, delivering performance virtually as good as traditional paints, while using considerably less energy in its production.

The shops will supply the matte white emulsion we tested, or can mix up colours to order (including colour matching), but note that sizes start from a minimum of five litres.
