TotsBots Bamboozle/Organic Nappies Review

We like:

Absorbency and security; fit and shape; the organic and bamboo options; that the bright colours hide poo stains

We don't like:

That the extra material means they take longer to dry; that they're bulkier on the baby's bum

SmartPlanet judgement:

If you don't mind the extra bulk and drying times associated with these nappies, then they're a superb choice. And, frankly, we'd trade the fractional bulk/drying inconvenience for the security of knowing that Baby will sleep through the night without waking up wet and screaming any day. Funky colours may not make much of a difference when on, but on the line or radiator they save embarrassment. And Totsbots' environmental credentials are fairly tip-top.

The TotsBots nappies have a simple design with a built-in booster that sticks out like a tongue when you hang it out to dry. They're available in either organic cotton or naturally renewable bamboo, though the two options are virtually identical. The booster tongue makes the nappies very absorbent and you'll only need an additional one if you have a big baby who sleeps through the night. With an extra booster we found the TotsBots could survive a 12-hour night, including a sleepy feed in the middle of the night, with no nappy change and no leaks. Continue reading...
