What you need to know: Kushies Ultra Nappies
We like:
That the nappy and wrap together means no more hunting in changing bag; the slightly quicker changing times
We don't like:
That they leaked; that you can't wash them at higher than 40 degrees; that they don't actually save much faff
SmartPlanet judgement:
If you ignore washing them, these nappies pretty much are as easy to use as disposables, as Kushies claims. But real nappies aren't that tough to use, frankly. So you'll only save a few seconds. No bulk, and the combination of the nappy and wrap has, as with disposables, led to less security in keeping wee and poo off Baby's clothes. The real stinker though? Not being able to wash above 40 degrees. And that there's no organic option.

Full review:
Kushies Ultras pride themselves on being as "easy to use as disposables". Which, if you ignore the washing bit, they are. They're a multi-layered, shaped nappy with an extra twist -- the waterproof outer wrap is built in to the nappy. That means when you put your baby on a mat, you don't have to fasten her nappy, then fasten the wrap, then check that there's none of the nappy peeking out to pass wetness onto clothes. Great idea in theory -- in practice, not so good. Continue reading...
