What it is
A Swedish-designed angular bookshelf made from nothing more than corrugated cardboard
7.6
What you need to know: Chaos Shelves
We like:
The unquestionable eco credentials; the ease of assembly; the cool, modern, Swedish design
We don't like:
The inaccurately cut slats that give a less-than-seamless finish
SmartPlanet judgement:
If these shelves cost £30 instead of £80 they'd fly off the, well…shelves. They're easy to assemble, look cool, are completely eco-friendly and hold heaps of books. They're ideal for student houses, kids' rooms and anywhere where extra storage is needed -- better there than as long-lasting furniture, because although the cardboard might be thick and strong, it will eventually scuff. At least when it does get old and rickety you know it'll be easily recycled.
