What you need to know: Cohda RD4 Chair
We like:
That it recycles a major waste plastic; that it is UK-made; the eye-catching style
We don't like:
The comfort factor; the price; the way it builds up static
SmartPlanet judgement:
If you want to dazzle guests with a genuinely eco and truly good-looking chair, this one's hard to beat. It's UK-made and provides a use for a major UK waste plastic -- the stuff that milk bottles are made from -- avoiding unnecessary carbon dioxide, oil consumption and landfill into the bargain. Our only whinge is that it's more of an occasional chair than an all-day one, as your derrière will likely start to ache after more than an hour.
