We're convinced this is the ice cream ad directors feed models to make them look like they're having an orgasm while advertising another, inferior ice cream. It's that fantastic. While we love that all the ingredients are certified organic and mostly locally sourced or fairly traded, we can't give it top marks as the chocolate and sugar aren't certified Fairtrade. |
We normally like full-bodied coffees and this one is far from that. It's delicate, but still very tasty. We like the fact we know exactly which Ethiopian co-operative has produced the beans and we're very impressed with Equal Exchange's work in bringing organic and Fairtrade products to consumers in the UK. |
We love the milk and the philosophy behind it, but would have liked a snazzier jug-design and perhaps a more thought-through eco pack (but having spoken to Calon Wen, we're confident it's coming). |
A high-quality product at a justifiably high price, this is grown-up chocolate. Choose this bitter-smooth Sambirano to serve with coffee or the more populist Mora Mora on its own or grated over hot milk. |
