We like:

The cheddary taste; the satisfying portion size; a foil tray that can be re-used; Marks & Spencer's Plan A

We don't like:

The stodgy crumb topping; of course it's inevitable -- and delicious -- but cheesus, the saturated fat count is high

Making your own macaroni cheese is hardly a stretch, and then you can have it however you like it. But there's no denying the good, basic quality and flavour of the M&S organic version. It doesn't contain anything you wouldn't use at home apart from potato starch, which is used to stop grated cheese clumping together.

For a while going organic meant turning your back on convenience food. Now, various companies have discovered that careful consumers can be lazy too, and they're striving to tempt us to the easy-dinner aisles.
