my husband insured a car. The premium quoted was based on seven years no-claims bonus. Even though my husband provided all the evidence required - letters from the insurance company and everything they asked for, they will not accept this as proof of no claims and at each phone call, they change the goal posts, will not confirm anything in writing, and tell a different story each time. We were told that we would have to pay an increased premium until it was sorted out, but that this would be refunded when we provided the evidence requested. Because they keep changing their requirements, they have now taken 3 months payments at more than 4 times the monthly premium each month! We have paid more than £800 for three months insurance, and now we have cancelled the policy, they are threatening us that they will charge us a £600 cancellation charge. We will be taking this up with the Financial Ombudsman Service. This is a total scam. The deals advertised are not available because they change their requirements once you sign up. If I could give a zero score, I would.
