The Co-op Cash Mini ISA is great if you want to invest ethically and get access via high street branches. However, consider the Co-op's online banking arm, smile, for a higher interest rate, or, if you want squeaky clean ethics of the highest order, look to the post-only Triodos bank or Ecology Building Society.

Currently celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Co-operative Bank's ethical policy and subsequent claim to fame was launched in 1992. Since then, the bank has turned away businesses that conflict with its ethical policies on human rights, the arms trade, labour rights, climate change, genetic modification and animal testing.
