What you need to know: Timberland Men's Earthkeepers Rippler Chuka Boots

Tags: organic, recycled
We like:
Nice styling; comfy and robustly made; Timberland's wholehearted and company-wide attempts at being greener and more ethical
We don't like:
Lack of transparency and detail about the production of these shoes; Timberland's past track record on worker conditions
SmartPlanet judgement:
These boots are a huge step ahead of most high street rivals on their green credentials, style and quality. The only real shame is the lack of detailed information on their manufacture and Timberland's chequered history on worker rights and conditions. Even with those caveats, we give them a thumbs up.
