What rover Spirit encountered on Mars (photos)

On a positive note, the dead wheel dug up Martian soil which enabled Spirit's most impressive discovery - a patch of nearly pure silica. This was most likely caused by hot springs or steam vents.

Mars should be landed on by humans.
Mars should be the next project for Space Exploration. Man needs to find out all it can.
Perhaps the question of " are there others besides us " will be one day answered.
Mars could lead in that answer.
