The Unilever Aerosols plant will double Unilever's national production of deodorants into markets in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Central America, the Caribbean and Colombia. The company's chief chief supply chain officer plans to use various technologies and design approaches from the plant -- Mexico's largest -- to help inform the design of at least 30 new factories between this year and 2015.

At the site, original trees were preserved during the construction phase. Plants are irrigated with non-potable water courtesy of a comprehensive rainwater collection system.
