This set of images compares a black-and-white image a Mars Orbiter to a color image obtained by the Mars Descent Imager on Curiosity as it descended to the surface. The color image was taken at an altitude of about 560 feet about 44 seconds before touchdown. The white box is the size of the rover and is placed at a location obtained from data.
