RE: Can bees be trained to prevent plant disease?
That's all well and good. But what about the poor bees? I doubt they're happy about being taken from their hive and used this way. And they probably don't even get a reward for their help, once they've been conditioned. But I suppose nobody cares about them or the effect on their hives. Maybe some day we'll care, when there are no more bees. When it's too late, as usual.

RE: Can bees be trained to prevent plant disease?
What bees? Another third of the pollinating hives failed to survive
the 2009/2010 winter due to Colony Collapse! If this persists/isn't
stopped we definitely won't have to worry about global warming.

RE: Can bees be trained to prevent plant disease?
Can the bees be collected in a large container and not trapped one at a time. It would be less trumatic and would enable doing larger batches. Could you train them to avoid diseased plants, no propagation, no more diseased plant. It would be slower but might be more sustainable
