Did that guy say his bike weighs 5 pounds!!!!!
Unless I've slept through the most incredible advances in materials technology that world has ever seen, I'm pretty sure that you can't buy a bike weighing less than about 19lbs!
Sure, I would hate to have to pedal a bike weighing !!!70lbs!!!, but come on, the 5lb comment makes this seem like a more terrible trade off than it actually is.

Also, for about $500 you can get a gas engine with a drive that sits on your rear wheel. These engines weigh in at about 20lbs (total bike weight ~40lbs), and don't have a crappy battery.
