Test-driving the Smart Ed on camera

The Smart Ed
Transport News
Channels: Transport News Tags: electric car, alternative energy

Okay, okay -- we know we're a bit batty for the Smart Ed electric car. We even reviewed it, despite the fact that it hasn't come out commercially yet. But it's got a lot to recommend it -- namely the fact that it's the first electric vehicle to perform as well as a regular car.

So it should come as no surprise that we're flagging up some more content on the Smart Ed. This time, it's the filmed test-drive that our Car Tech friends on CNET.co.uk put together yesterday. Obviously our review provides all you need to know about this planet-saving car, but if you want to see it in action, we recommend that you take a look at the video.

Pinnacle Journey 1.0 2008
Cheap and cheerful -- the Journey hits the value bullseye. And doesn't end up a horrible compromise in doing so.
Mezzo d-10
Too costly, particularly compared to its d-9 sibling. But despite that, this is the state-of-the-art for folding bikes -- fast, light, practical.
Puma Glow Rider
The emperor's new bicycle -- all marketing and no trousers. Over-expensive, handles and folds poorly, doesn't glow well enough, and is stealable despite the weird cable-cum-downtube.
Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
