Video: taking the G-Wiz electric car for a spin

Rory Reid takes the G-Wiz on the road for CNET.co.uk

As green cars go, the G-Wiz is the genuine article -- fully electric and emission-free, all you have to do is charge it up and go. But what is it really like to drive one? Our sister site CNET.co.uk has taken the G-Wiz for a spin in their cool video review.

So what's the verdict? Well although they're not too impressed with the 45mph maximum speed, safety regulations and faff of charging up the car, the green features and fantastic financial benefits win them over.

Thanks to its zero emissions (as long as you get your electricity from a green energy provider) the G-Wiz has a stack of money-saving incentives. There's no road tax or fuel costs, free parking and exemption from congestion charging -- saving its savvy drivers up to £9000 each year. It also costs less than a penny per day to run, which even Jeremy Clarkson couldn't find fault with.

So if you're looking for an objective review of the G-Wiz -- and we do mean objective (they call G-Wiz's size-challenged cars "mobile rabbit hutches") then make sure you check out the video here.

It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product

Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off

This British-made folding bike has small wheels but goes for big money -- and is built for practicality

You won't find a better TV for picture in its class, but you will find ones with superior green credentials
