Win a Solio solar charger by writing a review

You could be the proud owner of a Solio
Tech News

SmartPlanet likes to hear from you, the reader. We like it when you agree with us, disagree with us, ask us questions or just want to say hello. And as a reward for your chattiness, we're offering the two readers who write the best user reviews of products in June and July a Solio Classic charger each -- worth £50 a piece.

If you're new to reader reviews, have a browse around the site (best to start with the 'Reviews' tab at the top), find a product you like and write about it. Check out what people had to say about these Timberland boots, for example. If you're not already a SmartPlanet member, it only takes a couple of shakes of a cat's tail to sign up.

You can also just search for a product that you want to review in the search box at the top of the page. It's always great to be first on something so if you find we haven't reviewed an eco product yet but you've used it, just go to the home page, scroll down and click the bright pink 'add a review' button in the 'You Tell Us' section and let fly.

It's that easy. Just by telling us what you think, you could be saying bye-bye to batteries and hello to solar charging.

I have owned this product since it came out and love it. I have also started to see it more and more around town. It is great to see a solar product starting to catch on like Solio.

Pinnacle Journey 1.0 2008
Cheap and cheerful -- the Journey hits the value bullseye. And doesn't end up a horrible compromise in doing so.
Mezzo d-10
Too costly, particularly compared to its d-9 sibling. But despite that, this is the state-of-the-art for folding bikes -- fast, light, practical.
Puma Glow Rider
The emperor's new bicycle -- all marketing and no trousers. Over-expensive, handles and folds poorly, doesn't glow well enough, and is stealable despite the weird cable-cum-downtube.
Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
