We've been lucky enough to get our hands on Nokia's 3110 Evolve, the first 'green' phone that's actually available to buy. After a weekend of playing with it, we found it to be a solid, basic, Nokia phone, with eco details that were hardly noticeable. Now we've got a video that shows off the Evolve's specs in glorious green detail.
We wrote about it a few weeks ago, but we're hoping the video helps demonstrate the phone even better. Have a look at its smaller-than-normal box, made from partly recycled card, and see the 50-per-cent-biomaterial casing up close. Does that mean you could toss it on the compost when you're done? Watch and see.
Corrections: Oops. There are two bits of misinformation in this video. Firstly, the correct model number is the 3110, not the "three-thousand and ten" as Adam describes it. Secondly, the energy used by the four idling Nokia chargers is actually more like a twentieth of the electricity consumed by an energy-saving bulb -- not half as we mistakenly have said in the video.
