To celebrate Earth Day yesterday, NASA released its ten favourite pictures taken by astronauts on the International Space Station.

Above, Cleveland Volcano in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska, erupts. It lasted only hours and was captured by an Expedition 13 crew member in 2006. See below for the nine other images.
