We're in love with Prince Charles. It's not his fabulous wealth and chequered love life that has us enthralled, but his impressive work with the environment -- like the website for his Rainforests Project, which he launched recently. Click on for five green reasons why we love the prince.

The Prince's Rainforests Project

First up, Prince Charles set up the Prince's Rainforests Project in 2007, with the aim of ensuring that the world's rainforests are "worth more alive than dead". That means working with business people, governments and non-governmental organisations to find ways of providing people with financial incentives to keep those trees alive. The project has commissioned research into attitudes towards rainforests and deforestation, and is bringing together stakeholders such as the Brazilian governnment and logging companies to discuss ways to protect the world's rainforests. The website for Charley's Rainforests Project launched last week.

Pinnacle Journey 1.0 2008
Cheap and cheerful -- the Journey hits the value bullseye. And doesn't end up a horrible compromise in doing so.
Mezzo d-10
Too costly, particularly compared to its d-9 sibling. But despite that, this is the state-of-the-art for folding bikes -- fast, light, practical.
Puma Glow Rider
The emperor's new bicycle -- all marketing and no trousers. Over-expensive, handles and folds poorly, doesn't glow well enough, and is stealable despite the weird cable-cum-downtube.
Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
