Discover the brilliant experienced people who are helping SmartPlanet through the green and ethical minefield.

We've been bombarded with emails this week of hot eco products being shown off at the new green lifestyle event LONDON AWARE, which runs Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May. If you're in town and have £5 to spare for entry, it looks worth a visit. SmartPlanet is a media partner and is also heading down to visit it at London's Barbican Centre, so if you spend the weekend in a beer garden you can still read about it on Monday.
The exhibitors list is now several dozen long, and includes some of SmartPlanet's fave ethical and eco brands, such as the NICE Car Company, Greenfibres, the Pesticide Action Network, DIY Kyoto, Riverford box schemes and a whole bunch more.
As well as exhibitor stands where you can exchange green tips and fondle products, there are several star speaker turns over the weekend. We recommend checking out SmartPlanet board member Solitaire Townsend's chat at 11am on Saturday, a talk covering Transition Towns at 3pm on Sunday and a Saturday session at 3.30pm on greening up your home.
For a show in its first year, the event looks like it could be a corker. We've already spoken to a lot of journos and bloggers who are going along, so let's hope it'll be a success.
Check out LONDON AWARE's site for the full lowdown and details of how to visit. And, of course, pop back on Monday for our write-up if you missed out.
