Get some comfortable shoes on and grab your placards, because tomorrow is the National Climate March -- Global Day of Action. Planned to coincide with the UN Climate Talks in Bali, the march in London is one of many protests happening around the world at the same time, designed to cause a stir and encourage politicians to make the right decision on the very difficult topic of climate change.
Protesters will be gathering at noon at Millbank, near the House of Commons, and purposefully strutting down to the US Embassy for a rally. At this point (around 2.30pm) there will be a series of speeches from people like George Monbiot and a gaggle of MPs (is that the right collective noun?) including Chris Huhne, Michael Meacher and MEP Caroline Lucas.
The march, organised by Campaign against Climate Change, will stop on the way at No.10 Downing Street, where a letter to the government will be delivered, asking them to implement a strong bill on climate change.
If you want to get involved, then simply join the march -- but the more organised amongst you may want to make some fliers, posters or placards from the templates on the Campaign against Climate Change website -- or with an old cardboard box and a trusty marker pen.
If walking isn't your thing, then why not protest by bike? Cyclists will be congregating at Lincoln's Inn Fields at 10am to go on an energy efficient, but equally effective rolling march.
