What you need to bring with you on holiday obviously depends on where you're going. But some essentials are just, well, essential. And some body care products are useful in most places on the planet, like shampoo and an all-round cream. When I went to South America last month, I found there were five natural body care products I couldn't travel without. Click on to check them out.

So Organic's Everyday Basics Travel Kit
£14 from www.soorganic.com
One of the beauties of this travel kit is that it's very basic indeed and is light and easy to tote. It contains four 50ml bottles of hand and body wash, shampoo, hand and body lotion and a hair conditioner that all fit snugly into a small pouch. It lasted me two weeks, but I must admit I was a little stingy with it. If you're a heavy shampoo-user, there might only be enough for a week.

Besides feeling good about not smearing chemicals on my body, it was great knowing that my bath-water wouldn't contaminate the environment in an area where there wasn't any waste-water treatment.

Pinnacle Journey 1.0 2008
Cheap and cheerful -- the Journey hits the value bullseye. And doesn't end up a horrible compromise in doing so.
Mezzo d-10
Too costly, particularly compared to its d-9 sibling. But despite that, this is the state-of-the-art for folding bikes -- fast, light, practical.
Puma Glow Rider
The emperor's new bicycle -- all marketing and no trousers. Over-expensive, handles and folds poorly, doesn't glow well enough, and is stealable despite the weird cable-cum-downtube.
Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
