We’ve been taking it easy in the Ting Sling -- a wide, comfy hammock made from recycled seatbelts. Our zesty green sling is woven from belts rejected by the UK ambulance service during their quality control process, but it’s also available in eye-catching easyJet orange or, if you prefer a subtler flavour, a slightly less eye-catching Jaguar beige.
At £200 it’s not the cheapest sling on the market, but if you’re willing to let your wallet take the strain, the Ting Sling’s comfort and eco credentials could sway you.

I'm not sure these seatbelts are really recycled. Sounds like they've just been rejected -- hopefully not for their strength!

yep, strictly speaking you're right! But you are kinda recycling them in the respect that rejected ones would have ended up in landfill. They're rejected for failing their strength test, which I recall requires them to hold over a tonne of weight. Fortunately in the hammock they're only required to hold around 125kg.
