Fairtrade Fortnight launched with full-on quirky style on London's South Bank yesterday. Farmers and growers discussed the benefits of Fairtrade practices, Fairtrade vendors sold their wares and Londoners tucked in to free Fairtrade goodies like bananas, nuts and coffee. We made our way through the crowds and talked to people about buying fair trade and what it means to them.
Find out what growers, businesses and regular Joes had to say about fair trade, and take a look at the lively scenes from the Fairtrade Fairground.

Wish I'd been there! Looks like it was great fun, although I'm not impressed with the guy who just went there to get free nuts and coffee! Hopefully he'll be buying fairtrade himself next time he goes shopping!

I thought that guy gave a realistic impression of the single male demographic. I'm very impressed with him actually for making an effort to learn. That's what these things are all about. Guess you could say just from watching that one guy that the launch was a success!! Well done!
