Tell us why we should send you yummy Fairtrade chocolate

Chocolate giveaway
Food News
Channels: Food News Tags: fairtrade, chocolate, competitions

You read it right. Simply tell us in fewer than 100 words why you deserve to blag a chunk of the Fairtrade chocolate mountain on our desk. Before you post a comment below, make sure you're registered and logged in to My Planet first to ensure we can contact you later. Sorry international readers, but this giveaway's only open to UK readers.

If your brilliant answer gets picked, we'll mail your chocs and all we ask in return is that you email us a quick review once you've wolfed them down. We'll then post your verdict on SmartPlanet to spread the ethical word.

If you don't fancy posting in the comments, send an email to competitions AT smartplanet DOT COM with the word 'chocolate' in the subject line.

Thanks go to our swag-providers, the good ship Ethical Superstore, which also happens to stock a monster range of Fairtrade and organic chocs.

I'm going to use the pity line. I'm a student with exams coming up and my most important piece of work for the whole year is due in on Friday. You must remember what it was like being a student, have pity and give me the chocolate so I can momentarily forget the woes of modern education.

Because I need a lift...had a hard few years-two difficult births, second one where my daughter was 10wks early, followed by a hysterectomy which im still recovering from...depressing when im only 34. Have had to stop work and need cheering up. My son has been in hospital a lot recently-we seem to be having a major run of bad luck and need some good luck! Will share it with my girlfriends and spread the fairtrade word!

Well cocoa is from a bean, therefore it can be deemed as a vegetable extract, and vegetables and beans are good for you, so therefore chocolate is good for you.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I would lilke some fair trade chocolate as I am leading a fair trade project at a local school which is helping pupils set up their own fair trade cooperative where they sell fair trade chocolate and tea/coffee/fruit to their peers. I would love to have some chocolate to share with them to say thank you for all their hard work and to prove to them that fair trade chocolate is yummy!

so this here rhyme may be a little.. bitty
My dentist always moans aand gives me grief
says i need to cut back on the sugar or ill have no teeth
But if its fairtrade then what can he say?
I got the farmers on my side so ill eat it all day
The milky taste would make my insides whirl
and the dark choccy bits are better than any twirl (*)
So smartplanet guys please pick me
and ill smother myself in the chocolate with gluttony
And if anyone says whats that lush smell?
ill say its fairtrade chocolate - the best they sell!

* or any other good chocolate brand

I think you ought to send me some of this chocolate because I would then be able to share it with the children in my form at school (I am the form teacher) and make sure that they knew what brand it was. They would then all go out and pester their parents into buying more - instead of other less ethical brands.
I'm sure I could also get some reviews written by the kids, if you'd like.
