You may still be abstaining from the booze post-festivities, but if you're anything like us, the zeal of New Year's resolutions will wear off soon. And what better way to reacquaint yourself with the grape of the gods than with some Fairtrade wine, courtesy of the award-winning Fairhills.
Founded in South Africa in 2005, the Fairhills Association strives to offer better living and working conditions for its farmers and their families, providing improved access to education and healthcare, as well as creating jobs. "Fairhills is about so much more than just wine," says UK sales director Jon Woodriffe. "It's a unique concept that offers wines drinkers the opportunity to enjoy fresh, vibrant wines whilst contributing to the social development of underprivileged farm communities in South Africa and Argentina."
Awarded Fairtrade accreditation in its inaugural year, Fairhills has since gone on to set up a similar project in Argentina, making it the biggest Fairtrade wine project in the world. And to celebrate, the company has generously offered SmartPlaneteers the chance to try out its range with two £75-cases up for grabs. The two winners will each receive a crate containing 12 bottles, which they can sip from at leisure knowing that the farmers involved in its production have all benefited from the project.
This competition has now closed. Here are the lucky winners:
Roger Clarkson, Morden
Hope Daley, Dagenham

Hi Karen, you need to replace the AT and DOT COM bits with those symbols, i.e. an @ sign and a .com at the end.

Hi all - comments noted and appreciated. The email format wasn't ideal, but we'd used that format to avoid having our email address spammed. We've now moved all our competitions over into an easy, email-free format in our My Planet section (http://www.smartplanet.com/myplanet/competition/). You can currently win hemp t-shirts, eco knickers and cruelty-free cosmetics...
