Green & Blacks cooks up new flavours for Xmas

Green & Blacks Assortment Box
Food News
Channels: Food News Tags: organic, christmas gifts, chocolate

Green & Blacks is launching a new range of organic chocolate gifts, just in time for Christmas. The first, called the Prestige Assortment, comes in a great box, each with 30 chocolates, including sour cherry truffles, traditional ginger batons and caramel balls.

The flavours have all been chosen by a man with a very enviable job -- head of taste, Micah Carr-Hill. As well as the bumper box, there's the slightly smaller Assortment, which has 20 chocolates, and the traditional After Dinner Mint Chocolate Leaves and squares. The best one, we think, is the Miniature Bars Collection. The box contains 12 small bars that let you try out each Green & Blacks chocolate. It's just a shame that it looks like it uses so much packaging.

The Prestige Assortment is £15, the Assortment is £8 and the Mint Squares and Leaves are both £5. They can all be ordered online at Green & Blacks' website.

If you really want to push the boat out, though, try the Yearly Bar Subscription. At £70 it's much more expensive than the other gifts, but each month Green & Blacks will post out two 100g bars in various flavours to the person of your choice. It's the gift that keeps on giving -- for a year, at least.

Pinnacle Journey 1.0 2008
Cheap and cheerful -- the Journey hits the value bullseye. And doesn't end up a horrible compromise in doing so.
Mezzo d-10
Too costly, particularly compared to its d-9 sibling. But despite that, this is the state-of-the-art for folding bikes -- fast, light, practical.
Puma Glow Rider
The emperor's new bicycle -- all marketing and no trousers. Over-expensive, handles and folds poorly, doesn't glow well enough, and is stealable despite the weird cable-cum-downtube.
Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
