What better way to review a piece of clothing than to try it on and see for yourself? We wore Ciel's organic hemp silk Gabrielle dress, in black, in our video so that we could tell you what it's really like to wear and accessorise with, and how the fabric feels on the skin.
Click 'play' to hear more about the glamourous ethical fashion house's evening frock -- or, to learn more about Ciel, read our review of Ciel's mint-coloured Cami dress, which is made from the same organic hemp silk material. We've also tried on People Tree's black and white gingham dress and H&M's organic dress.

Firstly its against the law and secondly if african countries made it legal to grow hemp the first world would probably put sanctions on them. The first world doesnt want to see africa become the power house that china has become... from a south africans point of view

Ciel makes some beautiful clothing and has an admirable ethical grounding but I would caution anyone against buying direct from their website as their customer service is extremely poor. If you are seeking their clothes go to Adili.com or Fashion-Conscience.com instead.
