Fashion Conscience, the online UK ethical fashion store, has just launched worldwide shipping, taking it from a UK-only operation to an international store. Good news for those outside the UK.
And Fashion Conscience is bringing in its Spring/Summer 2008 range, which includes Lalesso -- a fair trade Kenyan fashion line -- for the first time this season. Also new for the online store is designer Aaron Chang, who featured an item that really caught our eye: a bikini made entirely of recycled soda bottles.
The site will also be stocking Eco-Boudoir's range of ethical lingerie for the first time. Although Valentine's Day has been and gone, it's definitely worth checking out.
Not all designers are new, though. Smart Planet favourites like Amana, Ciel and Del Forte have been a staple on the site for some time, and will be freshened up with new pieces.
Fashion Conscience says that designers finally understand that "ethical fashion can be just as high-end and must-have as your favourite labels."
In a statement, the online store said: "We believe that, while ethical fashion should never be throwaway, it can be just as well-designed and [well-] made as other lines."
