We love fashion's great habit of reminding us about spring and summer in darkest, dreariest January by letting us have a taster of the warmers seasons' outfits. We appreciate it even more when the clothes are as gorgeous and green as howies'. SmartPlanet has been lucky enough to get a sneak peak at the organic fashion brand's spring/summer collection, which for the first time includes kids' jeans, bamboo and hemp and recycled polyester in jackets (see main picture) as well as in shorts.
We've picked our favourites for you to check out while you wait for howies' spring/summer catalogue to come out in a few weeks' time.
Women's: (Left to right) The Carnaby Dress which is a lovely all-round summer dress. We imagine the Strummer Shorts would be great for a day at the beach or in the park. And although strictly speaking the Summer Bra is underwear -- there's matching Summer Brief knickers, too -- we think it would work fine as a bikini and would be perfect for sun-bathing. The Curly Wurly Knit is for those chilly, but long evenings when the BBQ has burned out, but you're not quite ready to head indoors.
Men's: (Left to right) The Stumble Shorts (in sand) would be good for any spring or summery occasion and would look quite classy with the Foxton Shirt (in orange), too. We envisage the Stripy Polo (in mint) slightly tight -- relatively fit upper-body permitting -- with a pair of jeans.
Kids: (Left to right) Though the choice in howies' clothes for kids still isn't huge, we are excited that it's now possible to dress the little ones in cool, organic t-shirts and jeans -- Jack Jeans for the boys and Tessa Jeans for the girls.
