Fenchurch Bottletop bag reuses ring-pulls, fights AIDS, looks dazzling

The UK charity Bottletop is raising money to combat HIV and AIDS by selling a new bag made of drinks can ring-pulls. The pulls are woven together with strong cord to give an unusual chain-mail look.

The bag has been produced in collaboration with Fenchurch, and is being manufactured in Brazil by a cooperative of female workers. It looks great, and the best bit is that it won't collect all those nasty little gritty/fluffy bits that normal handbags are wont to do.

As well as the bag, there is a limited edition t-shirt and the charity will be launching an album called Sound Affects Brazil, that features Brazilian artists remixed by contemporary DJs like Fatboy Slim.

"Sound Affects Brazil is a fantastic project which I have been honoured to be involved in," says Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. "It is a truly inspirational album for a groundbreaking charity."

Ex-president Bill Clinton has also added his support, saying: "Stemming the rising tide of AIDS is one of the most urgent challenges facing the global community today. I applaud your efforts in this endeavour. What a wonderful and innovative way to stop the spread of this deadly disease."

The bags and t-shirts are currently on sale at Fenchurch's flagship store in Covent Garden and through Bottletop's website -- at the time of writing their online shop was not open but keep an eye out, we're sure it'll be back up soon.

It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product

Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off
