Fashion Made Fair sale kicks off this Thursday

Howies: home of organic clothes for men and women
Fashion News
Channels: Fashion News Tags: organic, clothes

Forget the high-street sales, if you want to find ethical clothes at bargain prices then head over to the East End for the Fashion Made Fair Christmas sample and stock sale. Starting this Thursday, there's up to 80 per cent off sustainable, fair trade and ethical men's and women's clothes, shoes, accessories and cosmetics.

Lots of our favourite brands will be there, including THTC, Livity, People Tree, Howies, Kuyichi, Tam and Rob, Equa Boutique, Enamore, Green Knickers and loads more that we can't fit into this post.

One of the SmartPlanet team has been to the sale before and warns there's always a mad stampede for the Howies stall, so if you’re planning to get your hands on some of their cool organic jeans or t-shirts, make sure you get there early.

The competitions are another good reason to attend, as long as you don't mind handing over your email address to some marketing types. A THTC organic cotton and hemp hoodie, some Kuyichi organic fair trade jeans, a Livity hat, some music, chocolate and Hemp Garden beauty products are all up for grabs. Event organisers InsideOut have also lined up some DJs to spin tunes through the day.

The sale takes place in Studio 95 at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane on 13 December from 6pm to 9pm, 14 December from 11am to 8pm, 15 December from 11am to 7pm or 16 December from 11am to 5pm.

We advise going on one of the first two days; all the good stuff will still be there, and the organisers will be handing out free drinks and chocolate -- result!

Weleda Edelweiss Sun Lotion SPF 15
It's a very good, honest sun lotion and we appreciate that -- we're excited about Weleda as a company, but not overly so about this particular product
LG 32LG5000
Stylish and with good performance, this is a nice TV, especially at just over £400 -- but the high energy use is a turn off

This British-made folding bike has small wheels but goes for big money -- and is built for practicality
