We love Dad jumpers. Especially when they're produced by people who got paid a decent wage and are made with lush-feeling organic materials. Read on for our picks of the crop.
Top of the list for us is Frank & Faith's classic V-neck jumper (pictured), which is £50 at Adili and will make even the fustiest Dad look trendy. It's made in the UK, theoretically cutting down on clothing miles and ensuring good working conditions, plus the fabric is 100 per cent organic cotton.
Elsewhere, People Tree's £78 Iceland jumper comes from a Fairtrade-certified factory, so you can rest easy that no one was harassed or paid outrageously low wages to keep your old man warm. It's also made from cosy lambswool and reminds us of the fart-lighting dream sequence in Dumb & Dumber, so it has to be good.
Lastly, you could go second-hand to pick up something really unique and find a home for a jumper that'd otherwise end up in landfill with the 1.2 million clothes we chuck away every year. In addition to ferreting around your local charity shops, have a look and see if there's a TRAID store in your 'hood -- we've found some great-looking jumpers there in the past.
