So far, natural body care company Green People has done a good job of impressing us with its organic lotions and potions, and we were excited to find out that four new products will be launched in the beginning of May. We've been lucky enough to try the expected big hitter, Body Bliss Lotion.
The lotion has got a great, strong rose scent and a delicate consistency. But it's quite difficult to spread out and we found we really had to massage it into our skin. Especially on our legs. Once it's rubbed in, however, it's absorbed quickly and is wonderfully non-greasy, which means we can put on our clothes almost straight after we've moisturised. We've got pretty dry skin and were very impressed that we only had to use the Body Bliss Lotion twice to rejuvenate and soften it. The lotion contains 91.5 per cent certified organic ingredients including rose oil, green tea, jojoba and shea butter, and it costs £16 for 200ml. While it doesn't excite us quite as much as Green People's self taning lotion did -- we just loved that -- it is a very good body lotion indeed.
The other three new products include the Foaming Face Wash, which is a soap-free cleanser (£10 for 100ml); the Foaming Hand Sanitizer, which is made from a blend of lemon tea tree oil, manuka and tea tree oil. This mix creates a natural antibacterial potion that's designed to be used on the go when there's no soap and water at hand (£11 for 150ml). And the third one is the Baby Foaming Cleanser, which is a very gentle, antibacterial, multi-purpose cleanser suited for dirty little faces, hands, baby-bottoms and toys (£9 for 100ml).
Green People gives us a clean conscience in every way. Its products are good quality, made with certified organic plant oils, herbal infusions, essential oils and natural minerals. The company never tests its products on animals; it sources its ingredients ethically and donates ten per cent of its net profit to organic and environmental charities.
